CommentAn 1877 newspaper letter to the editor of the New Bedford Standard describes how the owner of the land "has clandestinely desecrated the Little Burying Ground by removing the gravestones, ploghing up and planting corn, not leaving a vestage of a grave or stone to mark the repose of the dead. The 2018 project and book "Remember Me" has identified the perpetrator as Edward Howland "Little Compton's last Quaker."
