CommentThis cemetery is 320 feet NE of Dean St., 265 feet SW of Riverside Ave., and 165 feet NW of Loomis St. Follow Loomis St. opposite #42 Dean Ave. and take first left to Sherman Ball Field. The cemetery is on the west side of this road half way to the field 30 feet into the woods. James N. Arnold recorded this lot 46) – April 12, 1891. (Bk. 2, pg. 17) (JN073). At Centredale on the east side of the turnpike and in sight lot in fine order though not well protected. Recorded by James N. Arnold 12 Apr 1892 (Vol 2, Pg 8) "At Greystone in plain sight of the road and the railroad in open lot not protected a burial place in fair order." Transcribed again by James N Arnold (Vol 25 Smithfield, pp 89-91) August 22, 1919. He described lot as follows: "In open lot badly neglected beside the railroad track, west side and nearly opposite the Graniteville Mill."
