CommentThis cemetery is on the southeast corner of Simmonsville Ave. and Old Simmonsville Road. James N. Arnold recorded this lot his #64 May 17, 1891. (Bk. 2, pg. 143) “On the Major Reuben Mathewson farm south west of Hughesdale on brow of a small hill lot walled in good condition lot inside some neglected.” Benns #36; GGT 1932; see Johnston deed book #4, p. 271 Apr. 7, 1798 for an early deed location of this burial ground.
