Comment3 acres behind Clayville Church. The cemetery was opened in 1847 when Samuel Hoyt sold lots in what is the southern most part of the presentcemetery. Owners of the surrounding land also sold lots. Deed Bk11 Pg1031847: Samuel Hoyt to Timothy Hopkins, John Harrington, Patrick Kelly, George Matteson, Leona & Horace Cahoone, Daniel Thurber, Abraham Newton-lots 2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8. Lot 2 for Hoyt, 9,10,11,12 &13 for the public. Proprietors to make a fence.
