CommentCharles and Martha Benns recorded the Alice Watson gravestone in this cemetery in 1940, their #895. They described it as "east side of road, south of Tippecansett Park." That places it near Escoheag Hill Rd. They recorded it after EX004. This cemetery couldn't be found in 1992-1994 by John Sterling and Jim Good when researching their book on Exeter cemeteries. Exeter plat map #14 shows an unnamed cemetery that is probaby this one. In 2013 the Alice Watson gravestone was found in the Porter Cemetery in Thompson, CT. by Bill Warner, a Findagrave volunteer. The Porter Cemetery in Thompson, CT is forty-five miles to the north of where she likely was buried in 1855. Previously had temporary cemetery number EX895.
