CommentLocated behind #20 Mawney Brook Road the last house, on the cul de sac 700 feet south of Middle Road. James Arnold visited this lot 28 Apr 1892 "On land of ______ lot in good order. Not walled" Recorded by Bruce MacGunnigle for a 1991 book on East Greenwich cemeteries. Alan Clarke 2012: This cemetery has three stones lying flat. On day of visit, the couple who live in the house directed me to the cemetery and he told me there had not been a sign since they built the house. They do keep it mowed but have not set the stones. The closeness of the graves to the house and the low number of stones led me to ask if they minded a sign. He was not thrilled to have a sign but said it would be okay if it was set to identify the graveyard but not be in plain sight. I allowed that on the back side of a tree there would be fine.
