CommentThis lot is located 20 feet west of Maple Valley Road at telephone pole #18. The cemetery is 40 ft x 80 ft, in fair condition, and partially enclosed with granite posts. There are 19 burials with 19 inscribed stones. James N. Arnold recorded this lot on 2 Nov. 1904. He considered this lot as two separate lots and commented, “At the Elder Stone meeting house corner, there are a number of lots for burial purposes. Commencing on the West side of the road, the following yard [Rathbun Lot] is fenced, which fence is in poor order, lot covered with brush.” [The Knight Lot] “has picket fence and granite posts; in good order, lot overgrown with shrub oak” (Vol. 6, Book H, page 1351, 1354). Charles and Martha Benns transcribed this lot in 1931, their #26. Amelia K. Whitford transcribed this cemetery in 1986. Recorded by Dr. Bill Eddleman and John Sterling for a 1998 book on Coventry cemeteries
