Comment | This cemetery is located 200 feet east of Potter Road at telephone pole #12. It is in a field north of the Potter Homestead and easily seen from the road. It is 65 ft x 50 ft, in excellent condition, enclosed with a stone wall with a magnificent wrought iron gate. The historic cemetery sign is in good condition. It contains 50 burials with 26 inscribed stones and four fieldstones. It is on the tax assessor’s map #326, Lot #15.1.
James N. Arnold visited this lot on 7 Aug. 1905, and commented, “On the Potter farm on new road to Foster, and near the town line, lot walled, fence in good order, lot in good condition” (Vol. 6, Book B, page 1112).
Recorded by Dr. Bill Eddleman and John Sterling for a 1998 book |
