CommentJames Arnold recorded this lot 26 Jul 1891 (Vol 1, Pg 28) On the Gorton Lot known also as the Nicholes place at the Ore Bed was a yard now plowed down the past spring. We have been told that the late John Nicholes, known as "Keg John", mother, father and grandparents were buried here also several of the Gortons and some Westcotts. On a stone removed from the burial yard we read: His farm was on the south side of Plainfield Pike adjacent to Joseph Fenner and Zuriel Waterman.
