CommentLocated at 246-250 Park Ave. almost opposite Western Promenade. It is surrounded by a chain link fence. It is between Cliffdale Ave. and Lyndon Road next to the BP gas station. James Arnold visited this lot 14 Sep 1890 (Vol3, Pg 13) In lot beside the road between Elmville & Broad St., south side, which lot is but partially protected. Charles & Martha Benns recorded this lot in 1932, their #135. Mrs. Eliza D. Gardiner 13 Aug 1939 "Old Stone Burial Ground Park Ave. near Cliffdale Ave. Cranston, RI near ESSO gasoline station, cemetery a dumping ground, terribly neglected. She read the stones and relics were removed in 1917 to Grace Cemetery. The bodies were those of Dr. Comfort Carpenter, born in 1760 and two other Carpenters Francis and Emily." see Prov Sunday Journal Aug 20, 1939
