Located 30 feet west of Carolina Back Road (Route #112) and 75 feet east of Old Carolina Back Road, in an Island between the two roads called Grand Pre Park. Benns #205 - this cemetery was moved in 1871 from its original location on the grounds of the Carolina Mills, between the wool house and the office. In the 1930 when the Catholic Church burned it was rebuilt across the street near the new cemetery site. A stone wall was constructed around the cemetery. See news article Benns Vol 1 pg 211 Recorded by Charles & Martha Benns in 1932 Recorded by Marjorie Pendleton about 1980 Recorded by Lorraine Tarket-Arruda and Gayle Waite for their 2008 book on Charlestown cemeteries.
