Notesgg son of John Tisdale anccestor of Tisdales in America. He settled in Taunton MA in 1650. He filled various offices in that town and was killed by indians 27 June 1675. (all above engraved in stone) a Bronze plaque was attached to his stone by the DAR indicating he was a Rev War vet 1777-1779 [SAR: 1776-1777 Priv. in Capt. Jonathan Bates's Co.; Col. Dyer's Reg't; 1778 in Sullivan's Expedition to RI; 1779 Priv. in Capt. Dan Tillinghast Co.]
