Born in Mendon, MA. Operated a shop manufacturing farm implements on "Iron Rock River," now known as Cass Pond. Stationed in Boston during War of 1812. Helped form the Cumberland Rifles militia unit, in which he served as Captain. Parents were Jonathan & Abigail (SALISBURY). Part of his farm was sold to the City of Woonsocket in the early 1900's and is now known as Cass Park. Ref.: 12. died: WOONSOCKET, RI
