SUSANAH eLDReD AGeD 14 MONetHs DIeD IN DeSeMBeR 1675 [This gravestone was found in a patio in Portsmouth in 1998. Thomas Eldred (S/O Samuel & Elizabeth (Miller)) b. 8 Sep 1648 Cambridge, MA; d. 1726 North Kingstown m. (~1670) Susanna Cole (1653c-1726) D/O John & Susannah (Hutchinson) Cole and GD/O William and Anne (Marbury) Huchinson (the famous religious leader and a Portsmouth connection.] [THEORY: Susanah Eldred was born in Wickford in 1674 and went with her mother Susannah (Cole) Eldred and her siblings to relatives/friends in Portsmouth in 1675 when King Phillip's War broke out. ]
