Notes
erected by his descendants 6 Jul 1940. one field stone is believed to be his grave according to Daniel Howard in "A History of Isaac Howard of Foster, RI" 1901, pg 11; "He was buried upon his own land in a burial ground a short distance to the southeast of his house. Here his two wives rest beside him, and here also have been buried about 25 other member of the Howard family. At the head of his grave is a common flat stone, such as may be found in the fields near by, upon which is simply cut the letters 'I.H.' No stones mark the graves of his wives."
