Comment | This cemetery was located in Greenwood, on Main Avenue. It was removed to Brayton Cemetery (WK034) sometime between 1934 and 1990.
James Arnold visited this lot 1 Jan. 1892 and noted, “at Greenwood near junction of roads east of railroad, neglected, granite posts and iron rails” (Vol. 3, p. 430). It was also recorded in 1930 by Grace Tillinghast (Vol. 29, p. 235). Charles and Martha Benns recorded this cemetery in 1934, their #276, “on Main Street Warwick.”
The first seven below were marked with separate marble gravestones in 1892 when Arnold visited the lot in its original location. They are all on a single marble marker (MGRU0G 28x20) in Brayton Cemetery, sect B.
Identified, registered and recorded by John Sterling for a book on Warwick cemeteries. |
