CommentThis cemetery was removed to Pawtuxet Highland Cemetery (WK142) on April 1, 1974 from the property of Kenney Manufacturing on Jefferson Boulevard. It was located 200 ft east of telephone pole #249. It contained 14 burials with 12 inscribed stones. James Arnold visited this lot 27 Oct. 1891 and commented, “beside railroad, west side, south of Hills Grove” (Vol. 1, p. 205). Charles and Martha Benns recorded this lot in 1935, their #439. They noted, “this cemetery is in bad condition, broken stones and abandoned.” Only two gravestones are standing at Pawtuxet Highland Cemetery. Registered in 1974 by Edwin Connelly. Recorded by John Sterling for a book on Warwick cemeteries.
