Comment
This cemetery was located just east of the railroad tracks, 100 ft South of West Shore Road at telephone pole #327. In April of 1968 it was removed by Barrett Funeral Home to Greenwood Cemetery in Coventry and placed near the south wall at the rear of the cemetery. It contained 13 burials with five inscribed stones and eight fieldstones. James Arnold visited this lot 31 Aug. 1890 and commented, “at Apponaug on the east side of the railroad and north and in sight of the station in open lot not protected” (Vol. 2, p. 21). Recorded by John Sterling for a book on Warwick cemeteries.
