CommentTranscribed by James N Arnold (Vol 25, pp221-234) Sept 13, 1919. He describes lot as follows: "Greenville Cemetery, Third Division, North West. At Greenville a short distance back from the Putnam Ave road and in sight of it, back of the church, is another series of burial lots." Arnold noted that one lot "is picketed on granite posts, yard neglected," and for the rest of the stones, "in the space now the graves are without order and not protected, considerable brush and briers." Transcribed by Charles & Martha Benns (Vol I pp87-88) who assigned it number 77. They described it simply as "Waterman in Smithfield" Transcribed by Ron Farrar who described it as "Greenville, next to Tennis Club" NOTE: All three transcriptions merged this cemetery with SM039. Transcribed by Roger Beaudry February 15, 1997. Lot contains some of the oldest stones found in this town. It was cleared in late March 1997. Many stones are toppled. There is an area about 20 ft sq (Section A) surrounded by granite post with no rails. The rest of this lot is open with no enclosure of any kind. Lot is located adjacent to SM039.
