This cemetery was on the Hoyle family farm in Cranston. This area was later annexed into the city of Providence. It is bounded by Broad & Moore Streets and shows on the 1882 G. M. Hopkins map of Providence. A Hoyle descendant (Mrs. George C. Carr) removed her ancestor's remains to Locust Grove Cemetery in 1868 and brought John & Richard's stones to the RI Historical Society for preservation.
