CommentJames Arnold found three marked gravestones in his cemetery #20, the Gardiner-Lawton Lot, and four unmarked burials. [he must have been told of these by a family member because he knew who was buried in each grave] 1928 Adelaide Knight found them on the back road to the Exeter School, near EX028. The DAR found them in EX022 in 1947; therefore they were moved to Chestnut Hill Cemetery, EX022, between 1928-1947. Arnold noted that Pattey & Clarke Brown were sister and brother of Martha Lawton. James Arnold recorded this lot 22 Mar 1880 (his #20) "In lot walled and in fair condition beside road west side a little north of the school house at Gardiner's corner."
