The Arnold Lot is located 20 ft north of Columbia Avenue at telephone pole #5. It is 90 ft x 120 ft, in fair condition with no enclosure. The historic cemetery sign is missing. The cemetery contains 68 burials with 50 inscribed stones and 12 fieldstones. It is on the tax assessor’s map, Plat #303, Lot #418. James Arnold visited this lot 13 July 1890 and noted, “On the Neck Road a fair street about one mile south of the village of Pawtuxet, much neglected, poorly protected” (Vol. 3, p. 1). Charles and Martha Benns recorded this lot in 1933, their #241. In 1994 it is between two houses on Columbia Avenue (a suburban street) in an overgrown lot. This burial ground has colonial slate gravestones from some of the finest carvers in Providence. Recorded by John Sterling for a 1997 book on Warwick cemeteries.
