This cemetery on the grounds of New Saint Francis Cemetery, 1280 feet west of Rodman Street at telephone pole #1951. It is forty feet x one hundred feet, in fair condition, enclosed with a stone wall on the north and west, and granite posts on the south (4) and east (11). The historical cemetery sign is in fair condition. It contains sixteen burials: twelve inscribed stones and four fieldstones. Five inscribed stones marking the burials of the Sheldon family were removed to Riverside Cemetery after 1880. James N. Arnold visited this lot Aug. 2, 1880, his #112, “a few rods northwest from burial yard described on page 200 [SK150] in open lot unprotected we find….” Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
