This cemetery is located next to Borden Ave. on the east side, and 150 feet south of Hartford Ave. James N. Arnold recorded this lot - 28) β May 3, 1891. (Bk. 1, pg. 310) (JN044). βOn the Hartford Pike at its junction with Borden lane on the south side, lot partly protected although much neglected. This is a yard of colored people and ____? Should suppose that there were in the neighborhood of two hundred interments three graves only have inscribed stones the rest have rude marks only.β Grace G Tillinghast recorded this lot 8 Nov 1930. "note: Benjamin Onsley says that this is an Indian Burial ground, and his grandfather was buried there. Grandmother Dolly Eaton Walmsley or Wamsley, name now Onsley. Benjamin lives Morgan Ave. Dolly buried in Pocasset Cemetery.
