Fieldstone marked with a small i.d. metal sheet: "In memory of Aunt Kate, Sep 17, 1856." Burgess says that Mr. Phillips said that this is the grave of a black female slave. A hand written note on the Burgess list: "a bi uncertain - thinks not gravestone Aunt Kate ex-slave belonged to Tillinghast then to Davis through marriage died Sep. 1856 - stone marked now."
